that old man scared me when i was little. especially when he coughed during the singing.
you could make a fun video with slow drunk verison, Auto tune verison, or make it a really cool beatbox.

It makes me wonder if every bank has a little song they can sing to potential investors.

lol same
This is a cool song. Very underrated. Incidentally, the old man with no moustache is played by Cyril Delevanti.
The children didn’t know Dick Van Dyke was playing him, and they were genuinely terrified of him lol
Dyke is just incredible as senior Mr Dawes! I remember back when I was little, I didn’t believe my mother he was the same guy who played Bert. ^^;
Those are remarkably sophisticated lyrics for a kid’s film. Really clever.
i always felt bad for michael, his dad was too busy on the side of the banks lol
“When the banks fall, England falls”
*old guy fall back*
lol, I find that odly humorous.
Jane’s expression at 0:21 is hilarious, like she’s really afraid that he might drop dead at any second.
“Feed the birds and what have you got? Fat birds.”
I’ve always loved that.
LOL!
Unbelievable, but true! ^^
reminds me of protcalligorically correct from slipper and the rose
Yeah it is.
@CJMStarlight1992 The old geezer is Dyke?
Very capitalist scene. lol
Welcome to the world of banks.
I only recognized Dick Van Dyke because of the gesture with the eyebrows at 2:00. It caught my attention when I saw Bert, therefore when I saw it again I rognized it, but otherwise I would never have guessed it was the same actor. :O
i love him trying to get off the step
As a kid I never noticed that Dick Van Dyke also played ‘Father’.
“Dawes Tomes Mousely Grubbs FIdelity Fiduciary Bank” is the name of the bank – hence they refer to it as investing in, more specifically, the…..Dawes….
@626fan82 Its the names of the investors, and then the bank name.
