There’s nothing wrong with a news caster or journalist having an opinion, and there’s nothing wrong with them expressing their opinion. As long as they’re being fair in laying all the facts. Think of Maddow as a TV opinion columnist. And a good one, too, because she makes a point of telling all the facts – even the ones that aren’t helping her argument – and she’s honest in telling us who she is and what she believes in. She’s the opposite of, say, Bill O’riely, who swears he’s neutral.
